A Vitamin C infusion contains about as much Vitamin C as 20 kilograms of oranges!
The need for Vitamin C is increased in the following cases:
-
Infectious diseases (immune support)
-
High stress levels (radical scavenger)
-
Inflammatory diseases
-
Allergies
-
Atherosclerosis
-
Smokers
-
Competitive athletes
-
After surgeries to improve wound healing
-
Use of certain medications (e.g., cancer patients)
When is the best time to administer a Vitamin C infusion?
The infusion is best administered at the first sign of mild cold symptoms to prevent the illness from developing or to shorten the duration of the illness (Note: please wear a mask when visiting the practice with symptoms). A series of several infusions at intervals of a few days is also advisable. It can also be used preventively (especially if you have a lot of contact with people, e.g., before flights).
CONTRAINDICATIONS: Oxalate kidney stones, certain, usually inherited iron storage diseases. In these cases, infusions with high doses of Vitamin C are not recommended.
